Wow, it has been some time since I have last written and how have things changed!
We have gone from a family of 2 to a family of 5, yikes!! How did that happen so fast??
In a year, we have had the privilege of doing foster care for 8 children, 3 are now with their families and 5 are still with us. This has been one of the most challegening, rewarding and yet heartbreaking things I have ever done.
Just this morning I broke down crying and yelling at God for a past situation. It is so easy to love and get attached. Even though I do know God has everything in control, I sometimes feel myself just hurt and mad.
I have never had to love so freely knowing that at anytime my heart can be broken and to walk so blindly and trust God so much!
While Foster care has been very difficult, seeing the stablity and change in every child is rewarding! I know that as
Phillipians 4:13 says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
While I may not be able to blog everyday or every week because of our crazy life, my goal is to share a little of our families experience (the joys and pains) of Foster care.
